A member of staff at an optician’s in Broughton has impressed colleagues and customers alike thanks to delivering consistently high levels of customer service.
Awarded for high levels of care
In recognition of his efforts, Danny Norton, a dispensing optician at Specsavers in Broughton Shopping Park, was presented with award for Outstanding Patient Care from Specsavers’ central office.
Retail store director Scott Rogers and optical director Kelly Gibson put him forward for the award, after being impressed with his consistent dedication to his job and his professional and caring approach to customers.
Kelly says: ‘Danny is a total asset to the team here. He has a fantastic manner and goes beyond what is expected from him on a regular basis to ensure he provides a brilliant and caring service. It’s been lovely to get so much positive feedback from customers about him. We all feel very lucky to have him as part of our team.’
He has been on board since the store was opened last year by Specsavers founder, Dame Mary Perkins in July 2016 at a special launch party.
Since then, Danny's been a pivotal member of the team, ensuring it’s a welcoming and professional environment for customers visiting the store.
Going the extra distance for customers
He has been particularly commended on his work on the store’s DVLA clinics, testing the vision of local drivers, checking that they meet official guidelines.
Retail director Scott says: ‘Danny leads our DVLA clinics and does an extremely professional job. He has been known to even take patients home when they have come quite a distance for testing. He is a huge credit to our team.’
