How long have you been with Brixton Specsavers? Have you always been interested in optics?
I’ve been at Specsavers Brixton for five years and have always had an interest in optics – it’s something that always interested me when I was younger and I was extremely passionate about forging a career for myself in the industry.
What time did you start in store this morning and what was the first thing you did?
The first thing I did when I arrived at 8:30 this morning was try on my new uniform – I’m a massive fan!
What responsibility were you allocated this morning?
I was organising the spectacle delivery we received this morning ready for customers to come in store and collect their new frames.
What did you do on your lunch break?
I went for a spot of retail therapy and it was a great success!
When did you feel at your busiest today?
It’s the same time every day that provides the biggest demand and challenges. Our kids clinic, which is at 4 o’clock every weekday, is always fully booked and it can be quite manic at times, but rewarding nonetheless.
On the whole, what do you enjoy most about working for Specsavers?
The camaraderie we have within the team really is second to none and we have a very close bond here. We all have times where we’d rather not be in work – it’s only natural – but my colleagues never fail to put a smile on my face every day.
