With 3 million eye tests missed over lockdown in the UK, many of us are trying to get our sight tests in, but it can still be difficult to manage around busy lifestyles.
To combat the problem Specsavers Brixton store partners, Fred Agyarko and Haroon Khalid, decided to extend their opening hours to support the community.
Mr Khalid explains
Mr Khalid says: ‘We have been working with the Brixton community for a while and so we want to continue to look after the community and this felt like a supportive way to do so.
‘We know how much lifestyles have changed at the moment, so hopefully, the extra opening hours will help to support those needing to adapt their timings.’
What are the new timings?
The store is now open until 8 pm Monday to Friday for those who need to come into store in the evening, perhaps at the end of the workday.
Mr Khalid continues: ‘So far we have seen a great uptake for the extra hours and customers are really grateful that we are available at a convenient time for them.’
