Specsavers in Brixham joined stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.
Staff sported the official Red Nose Day glasses with comedy waving hands, which were sold for £2 a pair with all money collected being donated to Comic Relief.
Sell out success
Thanks to the support of customers the Brixham Specsavers store sold out of all 200 pairs of comedy glasses, helping Specsavers smash the £250,000 nationwide pledge, raising instead a massive £475,000!
Brixham store director, Dr Chibuzor Rogers-Uwadi, said: ‘The glasses were a huge success and the perfect accessory to the traditional red nose! Thank you to all our customers for their support.’
Specsavers has been a Comic Relief partner since 2015.
