Staff from Specsavers in Filton took a tombola to the Filton Festival Day and raised £127 for CLIC Sargent.
With prizes donated from the local community, Specsavers’ popular lottery attraction attracted all ages to help raise funds for one of the UK's leading cancer charity for children, young people and their families.
A word from the store manager
‘The annual Filton Festival Day was a great platform for us to continue with our fundraising efforts for this amazing charity,’ said store manager, Maria Matuszak. ‘The entire team is dedicated to our ongoing charity partnership with CLIC Sargent and we were so enthused to be able to raise monies while being involved in such a well-established and attended local event.’
In a bid to raise as much money as possible for the children’s cancer charity, Specsavers in Cribbs Causeway, Bradley Stoke and Filton are taking part in a number of fundraising challenges and events throughout the year.
CLIC Sargent provides practical, financial and emotional support for children and teenagers who have been diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia. The charity believes that children with cancer have the right to the best possible treatment, care and support throughout their cancer journey and beyond.
