Specsavers in Clifton has been giving the new university students a warm welcome to Bristol.
Outside the Clifton Down Shopping Centre there was a student hub where the team handed out Specsavers academic year planners and goody bags full of freebies. There was also a guess how many contact lenses are in the bowl competition.
The team from Specsavers in Clifton also attended the freshers fair at Bristol University which took over Clifton Downs on Friday 22 September. University sports clubs, societies, local businesses and charities attended the fair, and there was also live music and entertainment for all to enjoy.
A word from the store director
Store director Chris Child said: ‘It’s that time of year again and we have enjoyed meeting all the excited freshers coming to the city.
‘Considering that students spend a great deal of time studying, reading and concentrating, it is important that we ensure they are aware of the services we offer at Specsavers.
'To support students who are living on a budget, we offer a 25% student discount on specs and encourage freshers to make the most of this deal.'
