The team at Specsavers in Brighton believe there are lots of young local heroes in the area and is urging them to share their stories and win an award.
Specsavers in Brighton supports its founder's cause
Dame Mary Perkins, founder of Specsavers, has a special request for Brighton. She is a patron and supporter of the BCYA that stands for British Citizen Youth Awards and these awards are very close to her heart.
They celebrate and recognise the amazing achievements of young people who support the community, local charities and society as a whole - and she believes Brighton could have a great local hero worthy of an award.
If you are selected as a winner, you could go on to attend a day at Palace of Westminster in October 2017, where Specsavers founder Dame Mary Perkins will present the medals to those individuals who have done amazing things for their communities. It is really easy to apply too.
The British Citizen Youth Award is open to all children who will be under the age of 16 in October 2017. To apply, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with BCYA in the subject line. The deadline for all entries is Wednesday 9 August 2017.
