Specsavers Brighton would like to thank all their customers for their generous donations to their Christmas charity appeal for The Clock Tower Sanctuary.
The North Street store raised a terrific £400 for the Brighton-based homeless charity by holding festive jumper weekends throughout December and taking donations for minor repairs and adjustments – and store directors Mike Horler and Andrew Wallbank matched that to make an amazing £800 in total.
Supporting young people
The Clock Tower Sanctuary supports young homeless people in Brighton and Hove by providing a drop in service. They can access crisis support, life skills and activities six days a week.
The charity say £10 can pay for a young person using the service to have a shower, wash their clothes and prepare and eat a meal. That means that Specsavers Brighton have potentially helped them support 80 people with the funds raised in store.
Great local cause
Mike said: ‘The Clock Tower Sanctuary is a great local cause, and we have been delighted to be able to support them again this year.
‘We would like to thank our customers and staff for their generosity.’
