Specsavers Brighton joined the rest of the city in welcoming Pride recently – and the North Street store raised loads of money for a really good cause.
The directors and staff decorated the store – and themselves – for the day, and raised £300 for the Rainbow Fund.
The charity is a grant-giving fund for LGBT and HIV community groups in Brighton and Hove.
Over the last five years, a wide range of local groups have received grants from the fund, including Brighton and Hove LGBT Community Safety Forum, Brighton Our Story Project, Sussex Beacon and the Rainbow Chorus.
Celebration in store
Andrew Wallbank, store director in Brighton, said: ‘We were delighted to be able to support, and celebrate, Pride in store – and to raise money for a really good cause as we did so.
‘We are sure the charity will find lots of great ways to spend the cash and would like to thank our staff and customers for being so generous.’
