Specsavers Brighton are sponsoring a local 10K race for the second year in a row this July.
And the store, in North Street, are urging local people to get involved in the Phoenix 10K, which takes place along the seafront.
Open to all
Around 600 runners take part in the annual event, from which a percentage of the proceeds go to the Brighton-based homeless charity The Clock Tower Sanctuary.
The race – run on the flat – is open to all, but runners must enter online in advance. It is run by Brighton Phoenix, an athletics and triathlon club based in Withdean.
Pleased to sponsor
Mike Horler, store director in Brighton, said: ‘We are really pleased to be sponsoring the Phoenix 10K for the second year in a row.
‘The race brings local people together with those from further afield, and there are some pretty special landmarks along the route. So why not sign up for the Phoenix 10K today, and get training now.’
