Brighouse Specsavers has moved to a larger premises in the town centre to meet customer demand.
The store opened its doors this Saturday, with special guests and entertainment from fitness instructor, Hayley Jo Whitney, who featured in the Specsavers television ad campaign.
The popular opticians, which has been testing the eyesight of local residents for more than 12 years, has relocated to its brand new state-of-the-art premises on 57 Commercial street, creating new jobs in the local area.
The store was officially opened by long-standing patient Craig Simper, whose sight was saved following a routine check-up two years ago. Craig was complaining of blurred peripheral vision and the optometrist carrying out the examination discovered a retinal detachment, referring him to the Calderdale Royal Hospital eye service.
There was also a performance from Hayley Jo Whitney, the short-sighted fitness instructor from the Specsavers TV advert, who got getting the party going with a series of short dance-inspired workouts.
To celebrate the move and over a decade of service in Brighouse, the 12th customer to enter the store received a free eye test and a pair of designer glasses of their choice.
The new store boasts an extra three test rooms as well as facilities to provide a full hearing service. The opticians has also added dedicated pre-testing areas and can now display more than 1,000 designer frames.
