Bridgwater Specsavers has been busy raising funds as part of International Assistance Dog Week.

Putting the fun in fundraising

Staff from the store carried out a series of fun and games including name the toy puppy, blindfold challenge and a sponsored walk.

What is International Dogs Week?

The awareness week was created 35 years ago to recognise all the devoted, hardworking assistance dogs helping individuals living with disability-related limitations. And as well as honouring assistance dogs during their special week, it is also used to raise awareness about these very special and highly trained animals.

A word from the director

Jerry Shrubb, store director for Bridgwater, said:  ‘We hope everyone has enjoyed joining us in Bridgwater to celebrate the selfless love and devotion these dogs provide.  Thank you to all the team and our customers for your support.’
