Staff from Specsavers in Bridgnorth got into the festive spirit and turned their focus towards raising funds for Save the Children on Friday 14 December for Christmas Jumper Day.
A word from the store director
Store director, Teresa Hughes, said: ‘Christmas is just around the corner and lots of children are looking forward to waking up in their warm beds on Christmas morning. However, there are children that don’t even have a roof over their head, let alone a warm bed to sleep in.
‘Save the Children is a wonderful charity and we are proud to have raised funds for them. Christmas is all about giving and we know this money raised for the organisation will help to improve children’s living conditions.’
Established in the early 1920s, Save the Children is a global charity that works in more than 120 countries. It provides emergency relief, education, healthcare and protection, while working to tackle poverty and global hunger, and fighting for children’s rights.
