Specsavers in Bridgnorth raised a brilliant £100 for their local First Responders unit, through a collection box in the store.
The team from the store on Bridgnorth’s High Street were overwhelmed by the amount of money collected for such a crucial medical response unit that serves the local community.
A word from the store director
Teresa Hughes, store director, said: ‘We would like to give a big thank you to our customers for contributing to the collection box as every penny counts towards this life-saving service. We’ve supported the Bridgnorth First Responders before, so it’s a pleasure to raise funds for a local cause that is close to our hearts.’
Bridgnorth District Community First Responders are a team of volunteer first responders who provide defibrillation, CPR and other life-saving interventions in accordance with their training. They work in partnership with the West Midlands Ambulance Service to select, train and provide annual training and assessments for volunteer first responders.
