Specsavers in Bridgnorth is benefiting from its staff development programme, as two members of the team graduate with flying colours.
Success all around
Abigail Sewell, who joined the team at Specsavers in 2015, passed her Cert 4 exam. The qualification is the equivalent of the first-year dispensing optician (DO) course and is very physics and maths focussed. Abigail now has a more in-depth knowledge of lenses and will be able to help customers.
Contact lens supervisor, Abigail, said: ‘The store directors in Bridgnorth were so supportive as I completed the course. I’m really pleased to have earned this qualification.’
Meanwhile, store merchandiser, Chloe Baldwin passed her Cert 3 exam. The internal Specsavers course covers all aspects of optics including dispensing specs to customers, the anatomy of the eye, vision types and contact lenses
Store director at Specsavers Bridgnorth, Teresa Hughes, said: ‘We are always supportive of our team when they want to progress further and are so proud of Abigail and Chloe for achieving their new qualifications.’
