A trio of opticians from Specsavers Bridgnorth took part in the popular Bridgnorth Walk on Monday 30 May, raising money for national charity, Prostate Cancer UK.
22 mile trek
The team spent their bank holiday Monday tackling the 22 mile-long trek which takes participants from Bridgnorth Town Hall, through Cleobury North and Middleton Priors before circling back to the starting point.
Store director, Teresa Hughes, commented: ‘I am very proud of the team for taking on this challenge – they gave up their bank holiday to raise much needed funds for a great UK charity, so we gave them our full support!’
The Annual Bridgnorth Walk is a volunteer-organised event that has taken place every year since 1967, raising money for a number of charities. The walk is open to children as well as adults, with different routes for younger children, adults and seniors.
Teresa added: ‘We are keen fundraisers here at Bridgnorth Specsavers and I’m delighted that this ethos is held within the whole team.’
