To help keep children safe on the roads, the Bridgend team has donated 250 high-visibility vests across its community.
Seen by motorists
Tremains Primary School, Penybont Primary School, Brackla Primary School, Litchard Primary School and a local Scouts group each received 50 vests from staff at the Specsavers store on Adare Street, to help keep children as safe as possible during extra-curricular activities by making them more visible, especially to motorists.
Poor Welsh weather conditions
Specsavers Bridgend store director, Stuart Buckmaster, says: ‘Ensuring the younger members of our local community are kept safe when out and about is important to us, which is why we were keen to make a contribution to their safety through the donation of high-visibility vests.
‘Although the nights are starting to get lighter, Wales is no stranger to poor weather which can affect visibility. We hope that these vests will ensure the children at the primary schools and scout group are as noticeable as possible.’
