Specsavers' Brentwood opticians is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a Disney® prize- themed fun day in aid of charity.
On Saturday 7 June, staff wore Mickey and Minnie Mouse ears to help raise vital funds for local disability charity, SNAP.
Local residents and customers were offered a selection of tasty homemade treats and a birthday cake to celebrate the occasion.
Store director, Manoj Patel is rightly proud of his staff: ‘Being in Brentwood for 20 years is a massive achievement for us. We’ve seen our team grow from five to twenty-four members of staff.
‘On behalf of everyone, I would like to say how wonderful it has been for us to be part of such a vibrant local community. I’d personally like to thank all of our customers for their continued support.
We really couldn’t have done it without them. ‘I sincerely hope that the day will also raise awareness about SNAP and urge local residents to dig deep.’
Free specs MOTs
Local glasses wearers took advantage of specs MOTs, in exchange for donations to SNAP - who aim to inform, encourage and support parents with children who have special needs, so that they can grow in strength and knowledge and become better equipped to give the best possible care to help their children.
