Specsavers in Brecon has achieved a prestigious business accreditation for its dedication to ongoing personnel development.
With a commitment to looking after customers with high standards of clinical expertise, Specsavers in Brecon has now also proved how well it looks after its staff as it has been named a ‘Platinum Employer’.
Platinum Employer status
The High Street store has been awarded Specsavers’ externally-ratified Platinum Employer status. Devised and judged by employee engagement specialist, the Hay Group, Platinum Employer is tailor-made for optical and audiology retail businesses and sets high standards to be met across staff wellbeing and career development.
The rigorous assessment process requires evidence that a number of policies and procedures are in place and also includes interviews with staff, from optical assistants to directors.
The Brecon store scored highly across the scheme’s five standards, which include performance management and reward, learning and development and employee communications and engagement.
