Specsavers in Braintree has been joined by new retail director Paul Wickson.
Paul, who is originally from Rutland, began working for Specsavers in 2011 as part of the Partner in Development programme, working in Ipswich, Woodbridge and St Ives before opening the Maldon store four years ago.
Bringing 30 years of experience
He has worked in retail management since the age of 21, starting his management career in Grantham, Lincolnshire.
With over 30 years of experience, Paul has worked with blue chip companies within a wide range of industries, including consumer technology, telecoms, supermarkets and optics.
He has a passion for customer service and loves the culture at Specsavers.
Great new ranges
Paul said: ‘It’s great to be starting 2018 with Specsavers in Braintree. We have some great new frames going into the New Year including the Balmain range, which we launched in November.
‘We are hoping to expand the building to incorporate a new staff area, which I think will really benefit the team and create a fantastic working environment, as well as having a really positive impact on our customers.’
In his spare time Paul, who now lives in Colchester, is a keen tennis player and has just qualified as a coach. He likes travelling and keeping fit and follows football and cricket avidly. Paul also volunteered to be a Games Maker at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
