Specsavers in Bradley Stoke will host a charity quiz night on Friday 19 June to continue its support of Hope for Morgan.
Having kicked off its fundraising with a variety of events earlier in the year, the store has already raised more than £250 for the cause. Continuing the store’s fundraising efforts, the quiz night will take place at the Little Stoke Social Club from 7.30pm on Friday 19 June, and teams of four or six are invited to enter for just £3 per person.
Store director, Ed Stanleigh, said: ‘With the help of customers and passersby, we managed to raise a fantastic £253 from our first charity event for Morgan. It was also great that we could welcome Morgan and his family into the store to share their story.
The team has put in a lot of effort so far and we hope to continue our fundraising right through 2015, with some really fun events coming up later in the year. So if you fancy yourself as a bit of a quiz master, please come and show your support this Thursday while doing your bit for a local cause.’
Hope for Morgan was set up by his parents, Zoe and Darren Walker, to help raise money to fund Morgan’s treatment, while raising awareness of his disease. Although there is no cure for Morgan, the money raised will provide him with an operation to improve his quality of life.
