Specsavers' opticians based in Bradley Stoke offered up a range of amazing prizes and tasty treats all in the name of charity.
The store hosted a charity raffle and cake sale to raise funds for Above & Beyond; a cause which supports patients in nine hospitals across Bristol. The money raised from this particular event will help to provide much needed equipment for the children’s ward in the Bristol Eye Hospital.
Store director Ed Stanleigh, said: ‘We had some really great prizes included in our raffle, thanks to the support of local businesses. Among a pair of specs and spa day passes to The Aztec Hotel, we had various items from Carphone Warehouse, Argos and Harvester, to name but a few.
‘We managed to raise more than £130 on the day, so we would like to say a big thank you to everyone that came in and showed their support.’
Above & Beyond helps more than 500,000 patients cared for in Bristol's nine city centre hospitals each year, as well as the millions of friends and family who visit them, and the 8,000 dedicated NHS staff who care for them.
