Staff kicked off a three-week fundraising extravaganza on Saturday 14 February by holding a red and white themed day in store, selling homemade cakes and carrying out specs MOTs (cleaning and adjustments). With the help of our customers, the store has already raised a whopping £232.66 for Comic Relief.
Over the weekend of 28 February and 1 March, the team will be having a PJs and slippers day before rounding the fundraising off on Friday 6 March by taking on a spinathon wearing wacky clothes.
Ed Stanleigh, store director of Specsavers Bradley Stoke, said: ‘As well as selling the Red Nose Day glasses, we are planning three weeks of fundraising fun to help raise as much money as possible. Comic Relief does such great work and we’re all looking forward to making our faces funny for money to help the cause, so please stop by the store and show your support.’
