With Valentine’s Day in their sights, Specsavers in Bradley Stoke made the most of the love in the air by holding a week of fundraising activities in store, with all proceeds donated to Breast Cancer Care.
Throughout the week, staff at Specsavers in the Willow Brook Centre sold raffle tickets to customers hoping to win a teddy bear prize and gave away pink Breast Cancer Care wristbands in exchange for a donation to the charity. The week culminated in a Valentine’s Day-themed cake sale on Saturday, and by Sunday the store had raised a total of £146.68 for the charity.
Ed Stanleigh, store director at Specsavers in Bradley Stoke, said: ‘It is important to the team to support good causes in any way we can, and we’ve chosen to make a contribution towards the amazing work that Breast Cancer Care does for victims of cancer. Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to theme all our fundraising efforts over the week around love, and our customers got really involved in all the events in store and made some generous donations.’
