The team at Specsavers Darley Street have raised over £70 for a special care baby charity, after holding a bake sale and colouring competition in store.
The store has raised the money for charity Bliss, which provides support and counselling for parents and families of babies born ‘too soon, too small or too sick’.
The bake sale and colouring competition was organised by Specsavers Bradford’s Darley Streets Administrator Carly Atkinson, whose own son was born 11 weeks premature.
Helped someone you know personally
‘We always like to raise money for a good cause, but it makes it all the more meaningful when the charity has helped someone you know personally.’ said Pete Rooke, store director at Specsavers Bradford Darley Street.
‘We hope to do more fundraising during the year for Bliss, in an attempt to raise as much as we can to help families of babies born premature or sick.’
