The team at Specsavers in Bradford dedicated a full day on 18th November to educating customers about varifocal contact lenses.
Store director Pete Rooke said: ‘People often shy away from contact lenses because they think they’re too complicated to use, or that they're not suitable for them.’
During the ‘Big Fit’ event, the in-store team asked people about their lifestyle and visual needs to help choose the right lenses for them.
Visitors to the store were taught how to put their lenses in for the first time, and how to handle and clean the lenses once they get home.
Try before you buy
Pete continued: ‘Everyone who decided to give varifocal contact lenses a try was given a pair of monthly lenses or five pairs of daily disposables to try, to make sure they are 100% confident before making a commitment.
It was great to welcome new and existing customers into the store during the event and make sure everyone has access to the optical solution that works best for them.’
