The Mayor of Bournemouth was at hand to open a new historical space at Specsavers in Boscombe, which is part of a £500,000 refurbishment.
On Friday 19 December, the mayor attended the official re-opening of the store which has moved further up the high street.
The new store comes complete with a museum space for people to come and view optical equipment used through the ages, as well as more testing rooms and training facilities for staff.
More eyecare opportunities
Specsavers Boscombe store director, Andreas Booth says: ‘We’re thrilled to be opening our new store and for the mayor to be joining us on this special day.
‘With our new re-fit, we’ll be able to provide more jobs for local people as well as have more walk-in availability and testing rooms to continue giving people the best possible eyecare services.’
