Specsavers Boscombe is on the hunt for local talent to come and join them as their newest apprentice.
Encouraging local people to pursue their dream job
The store has trained several apprentices up and provided support for them to pursue their optical careers. Store staff are encouraging local people to come forward and try a path which might result in their dream job.
Connor Ryan, now optical dispenser and contact lens adviser at the store was an apprentice for a year. He says: ‘At the start of my apprenticeship I was too scared to even answer the phone.
‘Now, due to the training Specsavers has given me, I would be happy to take on any challenges or opportunities sent my way. I am really enjoying progressing within the company and have met some great people throughout my first year.’
Developing a career in optics
Specsavers Boscombe store director Andreas Booth says: ‘Connor has done a great job as our apprentice and we’re proud to have helped him develop his career in optics.
‘We’re encouraging local people to come and join our team as an apprentice, to learn essential skills and have the opportunity to be trained by professionals in the industry.’
