Specsavers in Bognor Regis showed its support for World Glaucoma Week (11-18 March) by completing additional training to learn more about the condition.
Staff members have completed a course designed in conjunction with the International Glaucoma Association, which will enable them to assist glaucoma sufferers in manging the condition, such as advising on how to effectively administer eye drops.
Glaucoma is thought to affect around 700,000 people in the UK, and Specsavers Bognor Regis is aiming to raise further awareness of the condition by backing World Glaucoma Week this month.
A word from the store director
Jonathan West, store director at Specsavers Bognor Regis, said: ‘The training ensure our team is providing the local community with the highest level of care when it comes to glaucoma, and we’re proud to be supporting the International Glaucoma Association in raising awareness about the condition.’
