Specsavers Bodmin is proud to announce that they have invested in training to ensure that staff are able to better support customers with glaucoma.
One drop at a time
The training, which was developed by Specsavers in partnership with the International Glaucoma Association ensures that non clinical staff can discuss the condition with customers and help them with treatment such as eye drops.
An eye opener
Staff member Lauren Icke passed the training, she said: ‘I found the training very informative and it gave a great insight into the world of a glaucoma sufferer. I feel more confident now in explaining the condition, offering advice and most importantly reassuring any of our patients who may be worried.’
A word from the director
Carol Grobler, store director and ophthalmic optician at Specsavers Bodmin, says: ‘The glaucoma training for all our staff is a really positive development for our store and the local community. It allows us to provide the very best service to our customers and support someone with the condition in the most effective way possible.’
