There has been some exclusive technology introduced at Specsavers in Blaydon which will help customers to select new frames with confidence.
The virtual try-on technology enables customers to see what they look like from all angles in different styles of frames.
The Frame Styler takes a scan of the face, it analyses the face shape along with past frames that the customer has purchased and together with the latest trends, it helps find the perfect pair.
A word from the store director
Gavin Donnelly, store director at Specsavers in Blaydon, said: ‘The Frame Styler uses innovative technology by taking a picture of the customer’s face and works out what style of frames are best suited for them.
‘One in five of us admit we struggle to know what suits us, and I’m sure we could all do with a little reassurance before investing in a new pair of specs.
‘This new technology is a fantastic addition to our services and customers are already loving using the Frame Styler to help them choose a pair of specs they know they’ll love.’
Pop star and style icon Louise Redknapp helped launch the new Frame Styler alongside the new Specsavers Confidence scale – which revealed the average Brit’s confidence peaks at 30.
Louise said: ‘I’ve just recently started wearing glasses for reading and I was delighted because I think specs are super chic and can literally transform an outfit. But I have to admit, I was overwhelmed by the choice and confused about what suited me.
'future of shopping'
‘For me, Frame Styler represents the future of shopping. I’m a mum-of-two – I don’t have time to spend hours trying things on! Frame Styler meant I had all the options right in front of me and could quickly create a shortlist of the frames I liked the most. It also meant I tried on styles and colours I previously would have never gone near in a million years – and guess what? I loved them all!’
