Specsavers in Blandford Forum is delighted to support local charity, Teddy20.
Passing over a £1,000 cheque
Earlier this month, charity organisers Kim and Owen Newton popped into the store to meet the team and collect the donation for the upcoming Teddy Rocks festival.
Support for 2018
During the meeting, Tim Bennett - store director at Specsavers - was overwhelmed by their energy and commitment to the charity. Teddy's parents really are an inspiration and the charity set up in his honour is going from strength to strength. The team now has its thinking hats on, devising new ways to support the charity throughout the year.
Teddy20 Supporting Children with Cancer
The Newton family is well known in the area. In a short amount of time, they have show great determination to get their charity off the ground, to help provide emotional and financial support to children and young people suffering from and undergoing treatment for cancer.
Over the coming months, the store is going to look at new ways to support the charity and welcome customer's views and ideas. For now, we are keen to urge people to buy tickets for the Teddy Rocks Festival that takes place on 4-6 May, 2018 at Charisworth Farm in Blandford.
