Staff at Specsavers Blackheath welcomed children from a local special needs school into store to see behind-the-scenes and learn about what happens at the opticians.

Students from The Westminster School in Rowley Regis visited the store and were given an educational tour to learn about what opticians do, the equipment they use, and the importance of eye health. Children were invited to operate the equipment and test a teddy bear.

The team handed out goodie bags to children to take home at the end of the tour.

A word from the store director

‘We were delighted to welcome the group into store,’ said store director Iram Noreen. ‘It was a pleasure to show them what we do here and hopefully we have made visiting the opticians a fun and engaging experience.’
