Specsavers in Blaby has been praised recently for achieving great results and feedback from customers within months of opening its doors for the first time. 

The store received a visit from Specsavers managing director, John Perkins, who praised members of staff for excellent results in the store’s first five months in business. Store director Kavit Rajgor welcomed Mr Perkins into the store for a tour of the facilities, which include state-of-the-art treatment rooms, a dedicated hearcare room and a specialist contact lens area. 

Months of hard work

‘We have had a great response from our customers in the last five months and feel we have made our place in the local community,’ said Kavit. ‘It was a pleasure to welcome John into the store, and I’m so pleased that our team has received recognition for these months of hard work.’

Since opening in June, the team has welcomed five new members of staff who carry out more than 100 appointments each week. From day one, the demand for both sight tests and contact lens consultations was high, clearly justifying the new store. The high levels of customer service, combined with the latest in optical testing equipment has ensured that Specsavers has become increasingly popular with people in the surrounding area.  

The best possible eyecare

Kavit added: ‘We currently have a ten-strong team which is set to increase further in the coming months, and are delighted to be in such high demand. We’d like to continue to progress in the coming months, ensuring that those in Blaby and further afield have access to the best possible eyecare.’

The team celebrated the opening of the new store on 25 June, and invited customers to enjoy an official ribbon cutting along with a range of treats, including champagne, cake, goody bags, and an entertaining performance from the famous ‘Dancing Grannies’ trio.
