The team at Bishopbriggs has celebrated the store’s first birthday.
The Triangle Centre store hosted activities for customers during the last week of September 2018.
To mark the occasion, the store involved the local community with fundraising activities which included a bake sale, tombola, and “guess the bear’s name” and “guess the number of sweets in the jar” competitions.
The event raised funds for Specsavers’ partner charity, the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB). RNIB is the UK’s leading charity supporting blind and partially sighted people. The team in Bishopbriggs raised more than £100 for the charity.
Fundraising for RNIB
Store Director, Angela Siu, said: ‘In store, we regularly work with people living with sight loss and RNIB is a great charity providing practical and emotional support for visually impaired people.
We are really happy to have raised money for such a great cause.’ To mark the first year in the community, Specsavers in Bishopbriggs is offering customers 25 per cent off a single pair of glasses for a limited period (10 September – 11 November).
