A Bishopriggs opticians has donated high visibility vests to youngsters at a Glasgow based nursery.
The children at Ruchill Early Years Centre received 60 high visibility vests from the Specsavers store in Bishopbriggs. The donation was part of Specsavers’ pledge to help youngsters stay safe when out in busy streets and public areas.
Store director at Specsavers Bishopbriggs, Angela Siu, visited the Glasgow based nursery to gift the youngsters the vests to help them stay visible while out and about.

Angela said: ‘We were delighted to donate the vests to the children at Ruchill Early Years Centre. We continually look for ways to give back to the community and supplying vests is a fantastic opportunity to support groups in the area and help spread the safety message.’

Yvette Elliot, deputy head of Ruchill Early Years Centre said: ‘We are thrilled with the vest donation from Specsavers, they will be useful for when the children are out in the community and on trips.
