Specsavers in Bishop Auckland gave a surprise gift to their 200,000th customer last week to celebrate the milestone.
Roy Cooke recently registered with the opticians, and was delighted to receive a phone call from the store confirming he was number 200,000.
He was invited in to store to mark the occasion where he was gifted with a bottle of champagne and a voucher for a free pair of specs.
