The team Specsavers Bicester raised more than £100 for Children in Need with a day of fundraising fun on Friday 13 November.
Staff at the store paid to wear fancy dress for the day and also held a raffle and ‘guess the number of sweets in a jar’ competition.
‘We all really enjoyed dressing up and it seemed to go down well with customers too,’ said store director Sarah Marshall. ‘We raised £109 in total so a big thank you to everyone who supported us and got involved.’
Children in Need is the BBC’s corporate charity and provides grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged. The charity supports small and large organisations which empower children and extend their life choices.
