Suresh Mahandu, an optometrist from Specsavers Bicester, will take on more than 20 obstacles over a gruelling ten-mile course to raise money for a local community special school.
Suresh is taking part in Tough Mudder on Saturday 19 May at Belvoir Castle in Grantham, Lincolnshire in support of Bardwell School. No stranger to the challenge, this will be the fourth time Suresh has battled mud and freezing water for what is billed as the toughest obstacle course in the world.
Raising funds for local school
‘In some ways, having done Tough Mudder before makes it a little bit worse as I know what’s coming!’ said Suresh. ‘It’s always a tough course and while of course it’s physically exhausting, it’s a mental challenge as well. I’m looking forward to it though and hope that I can raise lots of money for Bardwell School, so if you are able to sponsor me I’d be hugely grateful.’
Bardwell School is a community special school for children and young adults aged between 2 and 19. Located in Bicester, North Oxfordshire it serves Bicester, Kidlington and the surrounding villages.
