The team from Bicester Specsavers have raised more than £110 for the local Bardwell School, by giving two customers the chance to win two life-sized teddy bears.
The store held a competition throughout February for their customers to name the two furry friends, with store manager, Charlee, and dispensing optician, Karen, picking the two winning names out of a hat.
The winning names were ‘Rocky’ and ‘Taome’, who were chosen by youngster Dexter Cadd (7) and optical assistant (and longest serving team member) Liliane Pool. Liliane also kindly donated her bear to Bardwell School.
A word from the store director
‘We’re so grateful to our customers for supporting the fundraising drive and entering the competition,’ says store director Satnam Johal. ‘We had more than 100 entries and some very creative names. We hope these proceeds can help Bardwell School in supporting their 2017 activities.’
