Specsavers opticians in Berwick are celebrating ten years in the community by hosting a fundraising drive for the area’s rescue animals.
The team will be hosting a week-long initiative to raise awareness and vital cash for Berwick Animal Rescue Kennels (B.A.R.K) in November.
Come along to celebrate
Kicking off on Monday 2 November, the anniversary festivities will culminate in a family fun day and visit from two rescue pups from the centre on Friday 6 November. The staff will look the part as they will be dressing as animals in return for customer donations throughout the day.
Customers to the store will also be invited to participate in a raffle to raise funds for the charity.
A word from the director
Craig Bell, store director at Specsavers in Berwick, said: ‘We wanted to mark our landmark anniversary by doing something special for our town. Like many of our customers, we are huge animal lovers and we recognise how lucky we are to have a charity like B.A.R.K on our doorstep. We hope we can raise a fine sum to help it continue its valuable work.’
B.A.R.K aims to provide rescue and re-homing services for stray and unwanted domestic animals in need throughout Berwickshire and Northumberland. Those interested in offering a home to a rescue animal, or who have a pet they feel they can no longer continue to look after.
