A Berwick opticians showed its support for the local Sea the Change social enterprise, donating 25 high visibility vests for its young members.
Specsavers on Marygate made the gesture to the Eyemouth-based group, which aims to promote healthy, happy and sustainable communities.
The vests will be utilised in a number of ways, including during its beach school sessions where children learn about the coastal environment.

Craig Bell, store director at Specsavers in Berwick, said: ‘We were only too happy to support Sea the Change with its endeavours.
‘The group helps us all to get outdoors and make positive changes in our lives, and our donation will help our young people do this safely.
‘As opticians, we want to look out for our community and when out and about, visibility is key.’

Our Beach School children will now not only be able to enjoy the coast and all the benefits to wellbeing that comes with it, but they will be able to do it safely, thanks to all at Specsavers.'
Sea the Change is hosting an open doors event on Wednesday 22 August from 4-7pm at Church Street, Eyemouth for people to find our more and get involved with the organisation in Berwick.
