Bedford Specsavers celebrated its 25th birthday in style by inviting local families to join in a kids party complete with face painter, balloon modeller and magician.
Staff filled the Harpur Centre store with balloons and banners and each child received a free goodie bag in a bid to mark the importance of eye health for young people. Lucky Minions fans were also able to bump into life-sized versions of Bob and Stuart, two of the stars of the much-loved movies.
Time to have some fun
Matt Stewart, store director at Specsavers in Bedford, said: ‘We had a fantastic time celebrating Specsavers’ 25 years in Bedford. The store’s birthday gave us the perfect excuse to have some fun so we threw an in-store birthday party with special free entertainment for the town’s children.
‘We’ve been really fortunate to have been able to serve thousands of wonderful local residents throughout the years. Lots of the faces we see regularly have become more than just customers to the team and we always look forward to their visits.
‘In the last 25 years we’ve seen a lot of change but one thing that hasn’t changed is our love for Bedford and being able to serve the local community. It’s a wonderful town and we hope to be here for another 25 years.
‘We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of the visitors who joined us on the day and to each and every customer we’ve been able to help since we first opened in 1991.’
