Specsavers in Bedford hosted a kids’ extravaganza day on 13 August to promote the importance of children’s eye health in the local area.
The event, which is organised by the opticians every six months, saw staff members dressed up as various characters for the day, while the store was also decorated and balloons and goodie bags were given out to families.
In addition, Specsavers Bedford hosted a number of fun-filled activities for customers, including a magician performing tricks and making balloons, a face painter, and a juggler who performed and taught children how to juggle.
Seven clinics were also booked out on the day, which were open especially for children during the event.
A word from the store director
Matt Stewart, store director at Specsavers Bedford, said: ‘We had a great day at our kids’ fun day and loved welcoming everyone into store to join in the activities we had going on, they are always such a success.
‘Being able to see clearly is incredibly important in a child’s overall development. This is why as a store we regularly promote children’s eye health by putting on fun days to help build awareness of the importance of getting regular checks.’
