The team at Specsavers in Bedford is offering greater care to customers living with glaucoma after completing a new training course.
Developed in conjunction with the International Glaucoma Association, the training will enable staff at the store to assist sufferers with their treatment, such as advising on how to effectively administer eye drops.
Caring for your sight
The Bedford team also joined Specsavers around the UK in supporting World Glaucoma Week this month (11-18 March), a global initiative raising awareness about the condition and how to manage it.
Matt Stewart, store director at Specsavers Bedford, said: ‘Having regular eye tests can help to detect the early signs of glaucoma and – with the new training taken by the team – we are now even better prepared to help care for people living with the condition.’
