After an announcement regarding the regeneration of Basildon town centre, directors of Specsavers in Basildon are reassuring the community that the local opticians is here to stay.
Director reassures customers
Misinformation in the local press may have left some customers thinking that the building in which the store is housed is being demolished. However, retail director at Specsavers in Basildon, Lee Hansford, explained that this is not the case.
Lee said: ‘We’re really chuffed that this area is being regenerated and it’s true that some blocks in the district are being knocked down to make improvements, for example the Post Office building.
Refit to benefit customers
‘We would like to reassure our customers and the wider community that we are not moving or disappearing. In fact, we recently had a refurbishment in –store, creating a dedicated hearing room and more space for our customers to enjoy.’
