The Barry store, in Holton Road, is set to host a ‘Heroes for Heroes Day’ this coming Saturday, 28 June 2014, to mark Armed Forces Day.
Staff will be dressing-up as well-known superheroes and raising funds for Armed Forces Day.
Store director, Jamie Pullen, says: ‘Dressing up as superheroes is a nice and light-hearted way to try and raise public awareness of the contribution made to our country by those in the armed forces, as well as help raise some much-needed funds for the men and women who make up the armed forces community.
‘We’re really looking forward to the day, and we’d like to invite the local community to call in store and make whatever donation they can, no matter how large or small, as every penny counts.’
The store will also be offering a free glasses cleaning and repair service on the day in exchange for a small donation which will go towards the store’s overall fundraising total. The national event will be held in Stirling, but many more events will be held up and down the country in support of Armed Forces Day.
