Specsavers in Barry has welcomed two well-known Welsh radio personalities into store to celebrate its reopening following a £105,000 refurbishment.
Heart FM breakfast show presenters, Jagger and Woody, visited Specsavers in Barry to unveil the newly revamped optical and audiology services.
Alongside a dedicated audiologists, the store boasts a new test room, where customers can get their vision checked and contact lenses fitted.
Specsavers in Barry has replaced its traditional reception, and staff will now meet customers as they enter the store and register them on a tablet device, creating a spacious environment to display the store’s 1,300 frames.
It has also appointed a new optometrist, taking the number of optometrists working at the store to four. Ms Sabina Arshad, 28, has been a qualified optometrist for five years, having previously worked at other opticians in south Wales ahead of joining Specsavers in Barry.

Jamie Pullen, store director of Specsavers in Barry, said: ‘We have seen increasing numbers of new customers using our services and we recognised that we needed to update our offer to meet demand.
‘The investment shows our commitment to providing cutting edge technology and the highest quality of service to all of our customers by creating a more efficient and spacious store environment.
‘As part of the revamp, we have also added more tablet devices for testing purposes so that our customers can have their glasses fitted using our cutting edge imaging software.
