Two Barrhead customers have praised staff at their local store for excellent customer service.

Excellent patience

One complemented the store for assisting with her dad’s eye examination. The customer commented: ‘My dad has various health problems including vascular dementia which can cause him confusion at times.

‘The gentleman who tested his eyes spent a considerable amount of time explaining the results to my dad, as well as to my mum and I.

‘I personally work in retail and found his customer service and patience excellent.’

Another customer visited the store to pick their first pair of glasses and said: ‘I would like to thank Jeni for her excellent knowledge and assistance. She was very kind and made the process easier.’

Offering advice

Store director at Specsavers in Barrhead, Gail Thompson, said: ‘We carefully explain eye examination results to every customer and are here to answer any questions and offer advice.

‘We are very proud that a number of our staff have completed a Dementia Friends training course which has greatly helped us to cater to the needs of customers with dementia.’
