Staff at Specsavers in Barrhead have raised more than £130 for several charities in the past year.
Specsavers, on the Main Street, held a number of fundraising drives throughout 2014 which included bakes sales, raffles and in-store competitions, with proceeds donated to British Heart Foundation and Guide Dogs Scotland.
Supporting the local community
Gail Thompson, director of Specsavers Barrhead, said: ‘As part of the community in Barrhead, it’s massively important to us to give back to the local area.
‘Staff and customers have really enjoyed our fundraising events and it’s very rewarding being able to support such great local causes.
‘I’d like to thank all our customers for helping us to raise such a fantastic figure over the past year and all the staff are looking forward to continuing to support charities and local causes throughout 2015.’
